Nurse-midwifery care that listens and supports

Here for every story, every stage

Our certified nurse-midwives offer compassionate care for every chapter of your life—from first visits to menopause and beyond. Hospital-based, personalized and grounded in trust.

What our midwifery patients say

Feel heard

“She took the time to actually listen to what I was saying and made eye contact with me the entire time. I didn’t feel like I was cattle being rushed through the appointment. I loved her.”

Feel safe

“Coming in with sexual trauma is extremely rough for me and she gave me a true positive experience to create new mental associations with the gynecologist. I would recommend others, specifically those with concerns and fears due to sexual trauma. Thanks so much.”

Feel empowered

“She is empathetic, listens, provides many options and advice, and puts the decisions in my hands. I never feel rushed or judged, just great, caring, experienced care.”

Feel known

“She is so caring and willing to take her time and understand me. She is relatable and always makes sure my husband is heard as well. I knew if I had an appointment with her I would be well taken care of and heard!”

Feel cared for

“I have had 6 or 7 colposcopies. This was the first time I was ever offered pain management and I am so grateful. It made something that is typically very painful, frustrating and frightening a breeze.”

Feel connected

“I moved further away from this office but continue to go here. She was the first provider who I felt actually cared about my concerns and wants the best for me.”

What does a nurse-midwife do?

You deserve care that fits you. A certified nurse-midwife (CNM) is a licensed nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive gynecologic and wellness care—from contraception to menopause and everything in between.

At WHA, our CNMs blend medical expertise with the personal, relationship-based philosophy of midwifery. They prescribe medications, perform exams, diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians when specialized care or surgery is needed.

What sets them apart is how they care: through listening, education, and shared decision-making. It’s a partnership that puts you at the center.
