About the Provider
Living a healthy lifestyle has always been important to Jamie. Knowing how activity and diet affect your overall health and well-being is something she is excited to share with her patients, drawing on her own resources, experiences and knowledge to provide individualized care. Jamie believes the practice of medicine is unique and exciting because the definition of healthy and how that’s attained varies so much from person to person. She loves connecting with women on an individual level to provide the information they need to make empowered decisions to reach their own personal definition of healthy. She brings this same emphasis on the individual to her midwifery practice, helping each woman envision and realize their own definition of a healthy pregnancy and fulfilling childbirth experience. Jamie’s interests also include postpartum recovery and support, particularly lactation and nutrition.
When she isn’t at work, Jamie loves hiking, skiing and kayaking and spending time at home with her family gardening and cooking. She has two boys with whom she loves to get out and experience nature in and around the city. Jamie has also been active in maternal and child healthcare policy, serving on a senate bill committee to develop a policy for newborn congenital heart disease screening prior to hospital or birth center discharge.
