Provider Bio

Jessica Nguyen, PA-C, MSPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant with Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.

From the Provider

“People should be able to talk openly about their reproductive health just like other health issues without embarrassment or fear of judgment. I believe through compassion, education and shared decision-making, I can help empower people to make informed decisions about their health.”

About the Provider

Jessica can trace the origins of her career to a childhood experience she had with a healthcare provider who listened without judgment and made her feel supported during a vulnerable time—something she strives to do for patients in her own practice today. In addition to helping people address physical health and wellness issues, she is attune with the social and emotional impacts they can sometimes have and hopes that her patients come to see her as a trusted partner and advocate in whom they can confide on all issues affecting their wellbeing. Jessica sees people for gynecology and pregnancy issues, as well as routine wellness and obstetric visits. She enjoys seeing people of all ages, connecting well with teens and young adults. Jessica's interests include birth control counseling, peri- and postmenopausal management and gynecologic procedures. She also appreciates being able to care for immigrant populations and people who come from immigrant families—and recognizes it may be particularly difficult for them to talk about sensitive physical, emotional and mental health issues.

When she's not working, Jessica enjoys running with her border collie—Chester, playing card and board games, reading, wine tasting, bubble tea and Vietnamese desserts. On the weekends, you can find her and her fiancé at the dog park with Chester and getting their favorite burritos and donuts.
