Provider Bio

Dr. Alina Geller is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon with Women's Healthcare Associates in Newberg, Oregon.

From the Provider

“My goal is that each person leaves a visit feeling satisfied with their care and confident in their knowledge of what is happening with their health and their body.”

About the Provider

Dr. Geller’s path to a career in medicine began as a high school student in Brooklyn, New York where she volunteered as an interpreter for Russian-speaking patients in a local clinic. In addition to observing the medical professionals and hearing how they counseled patients, she recognized the vulnerability of people experiencing a language or cultural barrier and the tremendous value of compassion and human connection in those situations. Her love of gynecologic and minimally invasive surgery and the honor of caring for people during pregnancy and childbirth eventually led her to OB/GYN.

Today, Dr. Geller appreciates being able to help people solve problems and understand their health—whether they are a teen with questions about sex and sexuality, a expecting parent experiencing their first pregnancy, someone weighing their contraceptive options or a woman addressing the symptoms of menopause. In addition to caring for healthy, routine pregnancies, Dr. Geller also helps her patients manage complications during pregnancy, such as diabetes, thyroid issues, hypertension, asthma, anxiety and depression. She has a particular interest in adolescent health, contraception, and gynecologic surgery, including minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Geller and her husband have three children and she enjoys cooking, hiking and knitting.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with your provider?

I have an exceptionally high level of fear with OB appointments - so much so that even with sedatives and numbing agents I have anxiety attacks, uncontrolled crying and involuntary 'escape' motions like pushing away from the doctor and clenching. This doctor tried SO hard to be patient, gentle, and find different instruments to make it easier. Your staff also got an override to allow my longtime partner now fiance to be present to help. I can not fully capture with words how amazing your doctor was. I would strongly advise her for anyone, but especially those with special circumstances. I hope she gets to see this comment, she deserves bigger thanks than I can provide.

Dr. Gellar was very kind and informative, and she encouraged me to use an over the counter product which has made a big difference for me. I appreciate her encouragement to make my life even better by doing something so simple.
