Provider Bio

Samantha Adkins, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.

From the Provider

"With three busy, school-aged children and a husband who also works outside the home, I have a lot of empathy for women who wear many hats in their personal and work lives. My goal is to help every woman find a way to fit personal health and wellbeing into her life—recognizing that, especially for people with growing or young families, how that all comes together changes and evolves over time. I love having that conversation with my patients and helping them find their own balance through life stages that can feel overwhelming at times.”

About the Provider

Dr. Adkins’ favorite part of medicine is the privilege of partnering with women to help them make decisions about some of the most intimate aspects of their lives and health through their reproductive years and beyond. She has a special interest in contraception, management of menstrual irregularities and post-menopausal bleeding, robotic surgery and pregnancy care.

Dr. Adkins and her husband have three children and enjoy traveling and home improvement projects. She also enjoys reading, trail running and gardening. Her volunteer experience includes working in a clinic for underserved populations and teaching high school students about HIV and sexually transmitted infections.
