Gary Burgoine, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at the Northwest Gynecology Center, Tualatin office of Women's Healthcare Associates in Tualatin, Oregon.
“Being able to make a real difference for people is one of the things I enjoy most about my practice. That could mean providing reassurance to someone who is anxious, information and knowledge to help another cope with a chronic problem or compassion to a patient learning of a new diagnosis. My goal is to give each person confidence in understanding what will happen next and comfort in knowing that we will be there for them.”
The knowledge and integrity he observed in the medical profession as a young person (and Eagle Scout), plus his life-long interest in science led Dr. Burgoine down the path of becoming a physician. He didn’t realize obstetrics and gynecology would become his life’s work until his OB/GYN rotation in medical school, where he found he loved everything about it—caring for women of all ages during both illness and health, helping them address urgent situations and manage chronic conditions, attending births and performing surgery. One of the things he appreciates most about caring for women is the engaged, thoughtful and proactive way they approach topics related to health, for both themselves and the people for whom they care. He enjoys helping each person recognize and pursue the things that make them feel truly well in their lives, such as managing stress, sleep, nutrition, movement and connectedness. Dr. Burgoine helps his patients with gynecological issues, such as family planning and contraception, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis and uterine fibroids using both medical and surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery.
As WHA’s Director of Clinical Informatics & Quality Improvement, Dr. Burgoine is able to impact the systems and processes we use to manage the health and quality of care for all of our patients. He is married with two daughters and enjoys gardening, cooking and making furniture. He and his family are active in their neighborhood and enjoy watching movies.

Dr. Burgoine is OUTSTANDING!!
Excellent experience with the care team. Although I waited for quite some time I never felt like I was being rushed. Me MD was apologetic for the wait time and I felt he was very sincere. My concerns were addressed and I would rate the overall experience, for going to the doctor, a 10.
Dr. Burgoine is amazing! They are so knowledgeable and attentive, and they really take the time to have open and honest discussions. Even though I work at a different women's clinic, I trust Dr. Burgoine so much that I keep coming back.
Dr. Burgoine as always was kind, personable, understanding, and answered all questions. He is a great doctor and it shows through his care for the patient.
Dr Burgoine was wonderful. He took time and care to explain the procedure and was very kind and gentle.
Thank you!
One of the best providers I've ever been to!
