About the Provider

Caregiving has been a part of Clare’s life for as long as she can remember. Growing up with a sister with disabilities, she was naturally drawn to pediatric nursing and began her career in the pediatric ICU. Her interest in women’s health deepened over time and after many years in pediatrics, she set her heart on a second career as a midwife. She completed her midwifery training at Oregon Health & Science University while working as a labor and delivery nurse.

Clare is drawn to women’s health because of how fundamentally it factors into our identity and wellbeing—from difficult or disruptive symptoms, to fertility choices, to transformative experiences around childbirth and parenting. She provides gynecology, pregnancy, and wellness care to people across the lifespan. She is dedicated to partnering with people in their health and has an especial passion for health education; she loves when she can provide a “missing piece” for someone that helps them make a decision or get closer to a goal.

Outside of work, Clare loves to travel—especially to places that are off the beaten path—and enjoys connecting with people from different cultures and ways of life. Global health work has been a major inspiration to her throughout her career; she has volunteered with medical teams and partnered with local healthcare workers around the world, supporting life-saving care in places where resources are scarce. Closer to home, she’s fond of field trips with her nieces and anything that involves music, dancing, vintage items, or an opportunity to dress up.
