Provider Bio

Lisa Diepenhorst, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.

From the Provider

“I really enjoy the relationships and rapport I have with my patients. It makes a visit to the doctor more fun—for both of us—but more than that, it helps me do my job better. I’m able to tell when something isn’t quite right and people are more willing to open up about what’s going on in their lives that could influence the decisions we make together.”

About the Provider

The combination of science, biology and personal connections is what drew Dr. Diepenhorst to medicine. She loves OB/GYN because of the impact she is able to have in the lives of her patients—helping them find options that best meet their needs, address gynecologic problems that are impacting their lives or support and care for them through pregnancy. In addition to obstetrics, Dr. Diepenhorst enjoys helping teens and women of all ages find the birth control that is best for them, address abnormal bleeding, manage abnormal Pap tests and figure out how to lead the healthiest life they can—particularly through integrating physical activity in ways that are reasonable and approachable. She is also skilled in hysteroscopic surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Diepenhorst enjoys travel, running, rock climbing and skiing and loves being outdoors with her golden retriever Nelson.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with your provider?

I felt a bit rushed and my health was not considered holistically.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with your provider?

I felt like the process of getting a breast exam could have been better described to me. When I did receive it, the exam took no longer than 30 seconds- I would have preferred it be more thorough. Also it was not explained to me that the chlamydia gonorrhea test would be taken during the speculum part of my exam, which was fine but it would have been nice if the process had been described to me more step by step.
