Katie Himel, CNM, MSN - Nurse-Midwife in Oregon City, OR

Provider Bio

From the Provider

“I see a lot of women who have struggled with chronic gynecological issues for a while without a diagnosis or effective solution. I enjoy helping them get to the bottom of whatever is happening. Sometimes that’s a scientific, medical process—but sometimes it’s helping them connect other dots in their lives. I spend as much time trying to understanding their specific problem as the bigger picture. I love working together with my patients to find solutions—and to share the knowledge of what has worked in one situation with other women experiencing similar issues.”

About the Provider

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with your provider?

I was surprised at how uncomfortable it was to get a new IUD placed after having it done two other times in the past decade. I was terribly grateful for the professionalism and concern both the doctor and the assistant showed me. It was a humbling moment and they showed great concern and were curtious in my moment.
