Danielle Dion, MD - Physician and Surgeon in Portland, OR

Provider Bio

From the Provider

“I want to help each of my patients recognize their strengths and accomplishments in how they’re managing their health. It doesn’t do anyone any good to feel ashamed and powerless. My goal is to help each person recognize what’s going well and to leave with realistic ideas for things they can do to continue making progress—so we can celebrate again the next time I see them!”

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience with your provider?

My ability to receive medical advice after hours was excellent. When calling about a concern with excessive bleeding from a miscarriage, I received a call back from the doctor on call within minutes, and she took all the time I needed to feel comfortable with how to proceed. However, the doctor on call said she was going to recommend that my regular doctor's staff contact me in the morning to follow up, but they had not done so by 11am, when I called with a question about whether to proceed with a prescribed medication during the miscarriage. it was then several hours before I received a call back, which left me feeling a little nervous. All the staff with whom I interacted, from reception to the doctor, expressed an excellent balance of professionalism and sympathy. I also appreciated that both the doctor listened to my questions and concerns and addressed them fully, even making changes to the plan for my care based on our discussion.
