Provider Bio

Katie Fitzpatrick, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.

From the Provider

“Every person comes in with a different motivation or goal; sometimes, they’re looking for a recommendation or solution. Sometimes they want to learn about their options. And sometimes, what they need is reassurance. I try to tune in to where they’re coming from and tailor our visit toward that. I want to make sure they leave with information and answers to their questions—the ones they have right now and they ones they may think of later.”

About the Provider

Dr. Fitzpatrick was exposed to the world of health care as a child made the decision to pursue a career in medicine when she was just five. She was drawn to OB/GYN during medical school for the variety it offered, allowing her to pursue her passion for surgery while still being able to develop long-term relationships with her patients. Today, she loves caring for young adults who are beginning life on their own, helping them understand their reproductive health, contraceptive options and fertility. In caring for healthy pregnancies, Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys guiding and reassuring her patients—including expecting parents, gestational carriers and intended parents—through the experience, encouraging them to relax and embrace each new milestone as it comes, a skill that she had to learn when she became a parent. She cares for a wide range of gynecological issues, including abnormal bleeding and cervical dysplasia. She also has experience helping women begin to address infertility and pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse

When not caring for patients, Dr. Fitzpatrick enjoys exploring the Portland area and spending time with her husband, two daughters and labradoodle. The family enjoys camping, winter outings, swimming and Trailblazer games.
