From the Provider
“One thing I hope that every patient takes away from our time together is that they feel that they have been heard and treated with respect and dignity. I know how scary health care can be—especially when it comes to reproductive health—and I strive to create an inviting, safe, and non-judgmental environment.”
About the Provider
Coco and her brother were both born at home, attended by a certified nurse-midwife and she was raised to view pregnancy and childbirth as normal events and to trust and respect the strength and innate knowledge of women. Her volunteer experiences at the Women’s Community Clinic and as a doula at San Francisco General Hospital made her path to midwifery clear. In her practice, Coco strives to provide non-judgmental care, to make people feel heard and respected, to share unbiased information and to engage her patients as partners in healthcare decisions. Specific areas of clinical interest include family planning and contraceptive counseling, mental health and caring for women with substance use disorders. Coco has received additional training in psychiatric illness and substance abuse in women.
When she’s not working, Coco enjoys hiking, backpacking, dancing, traveling, attempting to garden and cooking.
