Women’s wellness at WHA basically means everything we do to help you maintain or achieve the health you want—to lead your life, on your terms. We’re happy to share our ideas about what healthy means, but ultimately that’s up to you and we’re here to help you achieve it.
Women’s wellness at WHA begins with a wellbeing assessment that you will complete in MyHealth before your visit. It includes questions about your medical and family history, but also questions that help us assess your emotional and mental wellbeing; behavioral health (such as alcohol and drug use); and social situation, including living arrangements, family and relationships.
Right about now you may be thinking, “why does my gyno need to know all that?” It’s simple, really. We care. Not just about your reproductive health, but YOU—all of you. It doesn’t make sense for us to just focus on your pelvis if you’re so stressed you can’t sleep or you’re having a hard time putting food on the table. We want to connect you to whatever resources you need to achieve overall health and wellbeing. And we’ll focus on your pelvis, too.
