Jabke grew up in The Netherlands and moved to the US when she was 18. She worked in Labor and Delivery as a Registered Nurse in Oregon for more than 20 years before returning to school to complete her master’s program in nurse midwifery at Oregon Health & Science University. During her training at OHSU, Jabke was awarded the Martha Browning-Bryant Scholarship.
Jabke enjoys promoting the physical and emotional wellness of women of all ages, and the challenge of caring for her patients in a way that enhances their overall well being. She considers it a great privilege to help women navigate through the unique challenges of pregnancy and explore their birthing options. She strives to support expectant mothers and their partners by facilitating the delivery experience they desire while safeguarding the wellbeing of both mother and baby.
While not taking care of patients, Jabke enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and boating. She enjoys music, sings in a choir and plays the piano. She and her husband enjoy tending to their 20 acres of wooded land and taking care of their horses, chickens, cats, and dog. They have four grown children and two young grandchildren who live nearby. They share a love of travel, particularly to Jabke’s native Holland to keep up with family and friends. Jabke is fluent in Dutch and French and proficient in German. Her first name is pronounced “Yupka.”
