She/her
Therapist
Behavioral & Mental Health
Torrie Blodget, MA, LPC, is a behavioral and mental health therapist in Portland, Oregon. She will join Women's Healthcare Associates, LLC in January, 2021.
"My goal is to be present and listen to my patients carefully—both for what is said and what is not said. My hope is that each person leaves our visit with the sense of being heard. It is important to me to create a feeling of safety, trust and non-judgmental kindness."
One of the things Torrie enjoys most in her practice are the unexpected moments of humor—and the times when people realize that their thoughts and feelings aren’t “crazy” but, in fact, quite normal. She enjoys seeing patients change overtime as they recognize their own strengths and abilities and giving them the positive feedback they are often missing and greatly deserve.
Torrie helps her patients with challenges, such as the adjustment to parenting, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia and other sleep disorders and trauma response and PTSD. She also works with individuals who identify as LGBTQ, including same-sex couples on the path to parenthood. Her work includes helping patients address tension headaches, chronic pain, sleep problems, low energy/fatigue and muscle tension.
Torrie enjoys going to the coast, thrift shopping and eating Italian food (the more tomatoes and garlic, the better!) She also loves documentaries, variety puzzles and walking by the river. She has a gregarious preschooler named Marcela and a scaredy cat named Micky.
