"Navigating the vicissitudes of life can be both painful and awkward, as well as joyful and satisfying. I want every patient to feel that they have an ally and helper in their journey."
Sara first became fascinated by mental wellness during her first undergraduate psychology class at the University of Alaska. She cultivated her interest by pursuing a graduate degree in counseling psychology prior to becoming a registered nurse and then a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She is been dedicated to providing holistic, compassionate mental health care and appreciates the opportunity to help individuals reclaim or discover what makes them feel happy and healthy. She works with individuals across the lifespan to treat depression, anxiety, bipolar spectrum disorder and trauma/PTSD. Sara is routinely amazed by the strength and resilience of the human spirit and by the many ways in which people define and achieve mental wellness.
