Sara grew up in New Jersey in a family committed to social justice, kindness, community and personal responsibility—values that influenced her decision to become a midwife and continue to be the foundation of how she practices. Today, Sara enjoys the full scope of nurse-midwifery, caring for women during pregnancy, childbirth and throughout life. She enjoys educating and empowering women to make personal decisions around their health care that are right for them. She is passionate about promoting health and well-being and believes humor is an important part of forming connections with her patients.
Sara and her two children relocated to Portland in 2017 after 15 years in Seattle. She enjoys music and the arts, listening to podcasts while on urban hikes, camping and walks in the woods.
