"I hope every patient I care for leaves feeling like they were heard and not rushed through their appointment. I strive to ensure all of my patients’ questions and concerns have been addressed. I want each person to feel empowered to speak up for themselves and for their health."
Always fascinated by science, Dr. O’Brien knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine by the time she was in middle school in Naples, Florida. In her third year of medical school, she assisted a midwife in several births she describes as “life changing” and changed her specialty from psychology to OB/GYN.
Dr. O’Brien enjoys making long-term connections with women and supporting them through some of life’s most powerful and vulnerable periods, from family planning, to having a baby, through menopause and all the unique challenges and milestones in between. She loves all aspects of obstetrics, from the normal and straightforward pregnancies to helping women through complications, such as gestational diabetes and hypertension. Her interests also include contraception and minimally invasive surgery, especially robotic procedures.
Dr. O’Brien loves baking and is known for chocolate chip cookies, bulldog brittle and red velvet cupcakes. She and her boyfriend enjoy hiking and trying new restaurants and are having fun doing both in their new city.
