Our Services: Ultrasound
Fetal Monitoring
Nothing can match the excitement of seeing that first ultrasound picture of your baby. But in addition to the joy of seeing your child, ultrasound gives your Women's Healthcare Associates clinician valuable information about your pregnancy and your baby's progressfrom the amount of amniotic fluid you're carrying to your baby's size and development. Some major birth defects can be detected by ultrasound, too; however, the science isn't perfect and ultrasound findings may not precisely match findings at birth. Ultrasound has been used for more than 50 years. With appropriate use, it is completely safe for both you and your baby.
