Provider Bio

Anna Raffaelli, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife at Women's Healthcare Associates in Tualatin, Oregon.

From the Provider

“My path to midwifery started at a young age with a strong curiosity for medicine and a desire to serve others. My formal introduction came when I was working as a volunteer doula--and it was love at first sight! The patient-centered, evidence-based approach that midwifery takes is a perfect fit for me and I feel fortunate to work in a role where I can build relationships with women across the lifespan. My goal is for my patients to leave each visit feeling supported and confident in making decisions about their health.”

About the Provider

Anna was drawn to nurse-midwifery by her desire to support women and families through the powerful and emotional experience of birth, but truly finds the most joy in the relationships she is able to form through ongoing care with her patients. She believes that providing evidence-based care and education empowers individuals in their health care decision-making, and she strives to create a positive healthcare experience for all, including those whose who identify as LGBTQIA+. Anna’s clinical interests include obstetric care, family planning and contraceptive counseling; adolescent health care; and supporting patients through the postpartum period.

Prior to becoming a midwife, Anna worked as a nurse and legislative advocate for women’s health issues and is a current member of the Oregon Chapter of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. During her training, she was recognized for her academic achievement as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and was a recipient of the Helene Fuld Health Trust Scholarship. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking, traveling and exploring Portland’s restaurants and breweries.
