Natalie has worked in women's healthcare since 2000. She began her career in Chicago, working in a variety of areas: gynecologic and obstetric care, alternative insemination, fertility awareness, and childbirth education. She was a contributing author of the 2005 edition of Our Bodies Ourselves. She moved to Portland in 2004 to attend Oregon Health & Science University's Nurse-Midwifery/Nurse-Practitioner program. She has since practiced in a variety of settings, presented her master's research at the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) conference and has been involved in research on doula care for vulnerable populations.
Natalie is passionate about providing sensitive, woman- and family-centered care to all women, regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, gender identification, sexual orientation or age. She strives to empower each woman to be an active participant in her own healthcare, by respecting her unique needs and choices, and by providing her with the most current information. Natalie supports the nurse midwives and physicians both in the clinic and hospital setting.
Natalie has twin toddler daughters and is very fortunate to be married to an incredible and very supportive husband. Spending time with her family, running with their dog, creating art, and eating good food brings her joy.
